NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Eagles and former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez have agreed on a deal.. Sanchez was in Philadelphia on Thursday for a physical with the Eagles after being released from the Jets last weekend. Sanchez missed the entire 2013 season with a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
It was on Monday reports came out the Eagles were "expected to sign" Sanchez but other teams also reportedly showed interest including the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns.
Sanchez, 27, has not thrown a pass since 2012 when he completed 54.3% of his passes for 2,883 yards, 13 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 15 games. Arguably Sanchez's best season came in 2010 when he led the Jets to a 11-5 record completing 54.8% of his passes for 3,291 yards with 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions while leading a career-high six game-winning drives.
