ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Eagles have signed wide receiver Riley Cooper to a five-year deal worth $25 million. Cooper was slated to become an unrestricted free agent on March 11th.
Cooper, 26, had a breakout season last year for the Eagles setting career-highs in receptions (47), yards (835) and touchdowns (8) while boasting the league's third-best yards-after-catch (YAC) at 17.4 yards. He became a favorite target of Nick Foles in the second half of the season which led many to question whether the Eagles would prioritize retaining Cooper over Jeremy Maclin.
Maclin is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Eagles but nothing is imminent at the moment.
