Yesterday, reports surfaced the Eagles were looking to move up in the draft to select a wide receiver. The receiver mentioned was LSU’s Odell Beckham Jr.
Today on The Mike Missanelli Show, ESPN NFL insider Sal Paolantonio reports the Eagles are indeed looking to move up in the draft to select a receiver but it isn’t Beckham, it is Texas A&M wideout Mike Evans. To do that the Eagles would likely have to move into the top 10. Paolantonio reports it would cost the Eagles two first round picks and two third round picks.
Evans, who stands an imposing 6’5” and 231 lbs., has been considered a physical specimen by most and has scouts drooling over his size plus 4.5 second 40-yard dash. Evans pulled in 69 passes for 1,394 yards and12 touchdowns as a sophomore at College Station.
Could you imagine Evans lined up with Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin? That's a scary thought for defenses.
