Schenn, 21, scored eight goals and had 26 points in 47 games for the Flyers last season, his second in Philadelphia after coming over as part of the Mike Richards trade. Schenn logged 729:52 of total ice time this season. He was united with his big brother, Luke, who was acquired last June when the Flyers traded James van Riemsdyk to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Couturier, 20, scored six goals and had 15 points in 46 games last season with the Flyers, also his second in Philadelphia. Couturier averaged 15:53 of ice time this past year, including a lot of time on the penalty kill. He was selected by the Flyers with the eighth overall pick in the 2011 draft with a pick acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets (along with Jake Voracek) in exchange for Jeff Carter.
