Sportsnet's Josh Rimer reports the Flyers and Winnipeg Jets are talking a trade again and this time it involves forward Evander Kane, who has been tied to Philadelphia in the past.
Would it kill them to actually be tied to a defenseman? Maybe they are talking about a deal involving defenseman Dustin Byfuglien too. Who knows.
Kane, 22, has 15 goals and 15 assists in 44 games for the Jets this season. The 2009 fourth overall pick is a former 30-goal scorer who has shown flashes of brilliance. He signed a six-year, $31.5 million contract prior to the 2012-13 season that carries a cap hit of $5.25 million.
