The New York Post's Brian Costello reported last night Mark Sanchez was in Philadelphia to meet with the Eagles and "a deal could be done soon." To go along with that report, CSN Philly's Reuben Frank cites a league source stating the Eagles will be giving Sanchez a physical today and are expected to sign him if everything checks out.
The physical is so important in this case as the former-USC quarterback missed the entire 2013 season due to a torn labrum.
It was on Monday reports came out the Eagles were "expected to sign" Sanchez but other teams also reportedly showed interest including the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns.
Sanchez, 27, has not thrown a pass since 2012 when he completed 54.3% of his passes for 2,883 yards, 13 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 15 games. Arguably Sanchez's best season came in 2010 when he led the Jets to a 11-5 record completing 54.8% of his passes for 3,291 yards with 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions while leading a career-high six game-winning drives.
