Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Sixers and Nets are trying to complete a deal that would send forward Andrei Kirilenko to Philadelphia. Brooklyn would also send a second-round pick to Philadelphia and the Sixers plan to waive Kirilenko.
Kirilenko, 33, has been away from the Nets since mid-November due to personal reasons and has not played since November 13th. He carries an $3.326 million salary that expires at the end of the 2014-15 and unloading the salary would save the Nets $12 million in luxury tax expenses.
The 6'9", 220 lbs. forward has only scored three points in seven games this season. He averaged 5.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game last season, his first in Brooklyn. Over his 13-year NBA career, he is averaging 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
