Liberty Ballers' Jake Fischer reports the Rockets and Sixers are in "fluid trade talks" regarding point guard Jeremy Lin. The guard is a trade candidate due to his large contract and Houston's pursuit of free agent Carmelo Anthony while the Sixers are a perfect trade partner given their plethora of cap space.
The Rockets hosted Anthony in Houston on Wednesday and showed Anthony what he would look like in a Rockets uniform. An issue arose when the Rockets showed Anthony wearing Lin's number, something Lin didn't like as he responded to someone on Twitter saying, "I'm entitled to standup for myself/say i felt disrespected as I did thru tweet but point is love unconditionally/as Jesus loved me."
Then there is also the obvious link of Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie to his former team, the Rockets.
Lin, 25, appeared in 71 games last year for the Rockets making 33 starts. He averaged 12.5 points and 4.1 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. The 6'3", 200 lbs. point guard is averaging 13.0 points and 5.2 assists in two seasons in Houston.
