CSN Philly's Dei Lynam reports the Sixers have signed NBA Developmental League forward James Nunnally to a 10-day contract. In order to make room for Nunnally on their 15-man roster, the Sixers waived point guard Eric Maynor, who was acquired at the trade deadline.
Nunnally, 23, was averaging 18.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in 35 NBA D-League games between Bakersfield and Texas. The 6'7" forward was averaging 17.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 10 games with Texas before signing with the Sixers.
Maynor, 26, was acquired from the Washington Wizards last month along with two second round draft picks. In eight games with the Sixers, the former-first round pick was averaging 3.8 points and 1.5 assists per game.
As for anything interesting, there is this sweet picture of him and former-Sixers forward Evan Turner when Turner was still at Ohio State and Nunnally was at UC Santa Barbara.
