Nah, they probably are but this is still pretty cool. Sixers center Spencer Hawes was playing in the Jamal Crawford Pro-Am in his hometown of Seattle over the weekend and he went off. Hawes shot 19-of-30 from the field while sinking 18-of-22 free throws for 58 points while grabbing 17 rebounds. He also mixed in a few nice blocks. (Video courtesy of BallisLife.com).
Kevin Durant also scored 63 points at this event but was not nearly as efficient as Hawes as Durant took 62 shots in the game. Hawes, 25, has been playing a lot basketball this off-season and has even gotten in trouble for it. It is really nice to see this kind of production from him, even though it was only in a Pro-Am game.
The 25 year old center is entering his fourth season with the 76ers. In 82 games last year, including 40 starts, Hawes averaged 11.0 points and 7.2 rebounds along with 2.2 assists and 1.4 blocks per game - his best statistical season, across the board, of his six year career.
