Just one day after a report comes out that John Kuester could be close to joining Bret Brown's 76ers coaching staff, The Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey reports that Villanova assistant coach Billy Lange will be a new assistant under Brown.
Lange, 41, was an assistant at Villanova from 2001-2004 before leaving to become the head coach at Navy. He returned to Jay Wright's staff in 2011. He is a local guy who grew up in South Jersey that coached at Bishop Eustace, Philadelphia University, and La Salle University. He reportedly turned down an offer to coach the Houston Rockets' D-league affiliate earlier this week.
