CSN Philly's Dei Lynam reports that 76ers forward Lavoy Allen slept through the team's open practice at the Palestra on Saturday. Head coach Brett Brown said "we will handle the situation."
But wasn't Allen just in Brown's doghouse?
Yes. Yes, he was.
Allen, 24, averaged 5.8 points and 5.0 rebounds in 79 games (37 starts) for the 76ers last season. He is entering the final year of a two-year deal he signed prior to the 2012-13 season. He is essentially playing for his basketball career this year. In two seasons with the Sixers, the former-Owl is 5.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game.
It seems like Brown has no loyalty to Allen so he needs to prove himself all over again. Twice in just about a week is not a good sign.
