The Sixers announced on Monday that power forward Thaddeus Young was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Over the last seven games, Young is averaging 26.4 points per game while shooting 55.8% from the field.
Young, 25, has played fantastic of late scoring 25 or more points in six of the last seven games and topping the 30 point mark in three of those games. He has improved his numbers this season averaging a career-high 18.3 points per game along with 7.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. He is one of three players, along with Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins, to average at least 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.
