Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Sixers have signed point guard Darius Morris to a partially-guaranteed contract for this upcoming season. Morris spent the last two seasons with the Lakers after being selected in the second round of the 2011 draft by Los Angeles.
Morris, 22, averaged 4.0 points, 1.6 assists, 1.2 rebounds and 14.2 minutes per game in 48 regular season games last season for Mike D'Antoni's squad. The 6'4", 190 lbs. Morris adds size to an already tall backcourt that features 6'6" first-round pick Michael Carter-Williams and newly acquired 6'6" point guard Tony Wroten.
It another body that isn't exceptionally productive so the good news is this signing doesn't take them out of the Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes.
