Y! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the 76ers have signed former Marquette guard Vander Blue to a partially-guaranteed contract for this season.
Blue, who turned 21 this summer, averaged 14.8 points per game and second-team All-Big East last season as a junior for the Golden Eagles. He went undrafted in June's draft but played on the Rockets and Grizzlies summer league teams.
The 6'4", 200 lbs. shooting guard figures to fight for a spot on the team's roster or could find himself on the NBDL affiliate, the Delaware 87ers. Blue has tremendous talent but has not found the necessary consistency with his jump-shot and needs to limit his turnovers.
