Obi Enechionyia, a 6'9" power forward from Saint James School in Hagerstown, Maryland Class of 2014, announced on Twitter that he has verbally committed to join Fran Dunphy & Co. at Temple.
The top-100 prospect is ranked as the seventh best player in Virginia according to ESPN's Recruiting Nation. Enechionyia averaged 19.4 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game last year and was named the 2011-12 Herald Mail Player of the Year. Fun Fact: he also has a brother named Nnamdi who plays football.
Temple only loses G/F Dalton Pepper to graduation this year but still has some wiggle room as they are not up against the 13 scholarship maximum. Landing Enechionyia certainly makes Temple a force to be reckoned with in the years ahead as the American Athletic Conference takes shape.
