The Flyers were looking to stay in the hunt for home-ice advantage last night taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa got on the board first but Wayne Simmonds scored his 27th goal of the year to tie the game 1-1 after two. The Lightning would get two goals quickly in the third period before Sean Couturier scored a fluky goal to make it 3-2. Unfortunately Steve Stamkos netted another for the Lightning to down the Flyers 4-2. More here.
The Brewers were looking to complete the sweep of the Phillies last night. Cliff Lee allowed three runs on eight hits over six innings of work but the Phillies struggled to score. Marlon Byrd had two RBIs, including a solo home run, but only three other Phillies recorded hits at all. The Brewers put up six runs total and rolled to a 6-2 victory. More here.
