The Flyers absolutely needed a win last night against the Ottawa Senators. They got off to a bad start as Zack Smith somehow got behind the Flyers defense and beat Bryzgalov just 3:20 into the game. The Flyers would answer later in the first as Simon Gagne's shot was redirected by Claude Giroux to tie the game shorthanded. It would remain scoreless until late in the third period as Colin Greening scored on the power play due to a double-minor given to Giroux for high sticking. The Flyers would lose 3-1 as Ottawa added an empty-netter. More here.

The Padres would tie the game in the inning but the Dodgers would add another run in the eighth and go on to win 3-2. More here.
