The Phillies were in Cincinnati last night to take on the Reds in the first of a three game series. Cliff Lee dazzled through six innings last night but had a bumpy seventh inning as he allowed two runs to give the Reds a 2-0 lead. Lee went seven innings allowing just two runs on five hits while striking out four batters. He was in line for the loss when Chase Utley stepped to the plate as a pinch hitter with one on and two outs. He deposited a Bronson Arroyo pitch in the centerfield seats to tie the game at 2. Unfortunately, the bullpen would allow the Reds to respond in the bottom half of the inning and the Phillies would go on to lose 4-2. More here.

Scott Hartnell would net his third goal of the game in the third period for his first hat trick of the season. The Flyers would go on to win 7-3. More here.
The 76ers took on the Detroit Pistons last night at the Palace at Auburn Hills. The Sixers need to win their final two games of the season to match their 35 game win total from last year's 66 game season. After a back and forth first half, the Pistons used a strong third quarter in which they outscored the Sixers 33-21 to pull ahead for good. The 76ers could not solve Pistons center Greg Monroe who went on to score 27 points and grab 16 rebounds as Detroit rolled to a 109-101 victory. More here.
