The Sixers wrapped up their season last night against the Miami Heat. The Sixers shot 51.4% from the field and went 10-for-23 (43.5%) from beyond the arc. Six 76ers scored in double figures led by Thaddeus Young's 20 points. Michael Carter-Williams scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists en route to a 100-87 victory. The Phillies were looking to rebound after their tough loss on Monday night. Cliff Lee was spectacular for Philadelphia pitching a complete game allowing just one run with 13 strikeouts. Unfortunately the Phillies mustered just three hits off Braves starter Julio Teheran and none of them went for extra bases. Evan Gattis went deep for the third time this series to give the Braves the 1-0 victory. More here.
The Flyers announced on Wednesday starting goaltender Steve Mason is out with an injury for Game 1 against the New York Rangers on Thursday. Backup goaltender Ray Emery gets the start while Cal Heeter will be his backup. More here.
