The Flyers were looking to snap their goalless drought last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets. After a scoreless first period, the Blue Jackets got on the board on James Wisniewski's power play goal. Early in the third period, Wisniewski threw a puck on goal that hit Brandon Dubinsky's skate and beat Steve Mason to give Columbus a 2-0 lead. The Blue Jackets went on to win 2-0 and the Flyers goal drought continues. More here.
Former Phillies All-Star outfielder is suing the Los Angeles Country Sheriff's Department for unspecified damages but claims he was kicked, had his teeth knocked out and was 'beaten until he was 'barely breathing.'" The beating allegedly happened in April 2012 when he was serving time for grand theft auto. More here.
