Last night Cole Hamels was looking to end the Phillies three game losing streak and he dazzled. Hamels allowed just one run on six hits en route to his first complete game of the year. He didnt surrender a run until the bottom of the ninth inning. Cody Asche blasted his second career home run in the sixth inning, a three run shot off of Julio Teheran. The Sixers have found their new head coach. Brett Brown has agreed to a four-year guaranteed deal to coach the Sixers. Brown was offered the job last week and, over the weekend, reports surfaced that Brown's friends were urging him not to take the job in Philadelphia. More here.
A fan died last night at Turner Field after falling nearly 65 feet during the two-hour rain delay that preceded the Phillies - Braves game. Authorities are still awaiting word on whether or not alcohol or wet conditions played a role in the fall. More here.
