Last night the Sixers were looking to end their three game losing streak in Dallas against the Mavericks. The Sixers got terrific scoring off the bench. Dorell Wright poured in 25 points on seven 3-pointers. Spencer Hawes added 18 points and seven rebounds too. Evan Turner kept up his solid play from beyond the arc as he went 3-for-6 from deep and had 17 points on the night. Unfortunately O.J. Mayo and Chris Kaman both had 20+ point nights. The Sixers would fall 107-100 for their fourth straight loss and they are 2-7 in December. More here.
The New York Jets are 6-8 but somehow look worse and more helpless than the Eagles. After having a chance to take control of the game on Monday Night Football against the Titans and repeatedly turning the ball over in Titan territory, they have finally made a change. Head coach Rex Ryan made a move that the fans have been clamoring for since the summer, he benched Mark Sanchez but not in favor of Tim Tebow but for third string quarterback Greg McElroy. McElroy was active for one game, against the Cardinals, this year and came on to replace Sanchez and lead the Jets to a 7-6 victory. More here.

Alabama athletic director Mal Moore does not believe that Saban will leaving the Crimson Tide for the NFL. More here.
