The 76ers were in the second of an eight game road trip last night when they visited the Memphis Grizzlies. It was a tightly contested matchup as the Sixers did not open up a five point lead until the third quarter. Memphis was without starting SF Rudy Gay, who is averaging 18.2 points and 5.9 rebounds on the season, after he was scratched close to tipoff due to personal reasons. The Sixers shot an incredible 52.1% from the field and 56.3% from 3-point range. They were led by Dorell Wright who was 8-of-11 from the field including 5-for-8 from beyond the arc, for a season-high 28 points. Wright has scored 20+ points in three of his last five games. The 76ers went on to win 99-89 before flying to California to prepare for Friday’s tilt with the Golden State Warriors. More here.

The Houston Texans lead all AFC teams with eight representatives, including four starters. More here.
