The Sixers were in Oakland last night taking on the Golden State Warriors and it was terrible. Former Sixers first round pick Marreese Speights had a career-high 32 points and had 22 of those 32 before halftime, already setting his season-high.After only trailing by eight after the first quarter, the Sixers were outscored 37-12 in the second quarter as Golden State closed the first half on a 19-0 run. The Sixers would go on to lose 123-80. They are the second team in NBA history to lose back-to-back games by 40 or more points trailing only the 1993-94 Sixers. More here.

Turner is heading towards restricted free agency at the end of the season and that has teams hesitant about parting with a first round pick as Turner could walk at season's end. The Sixers are reportedly adamant about receiving a first round pick in return. More here.
Former Flyers defenseman Janne Niinimaa has retired from hockey. He was the Flyers' second round pick (36th overall) in the 1993 draft. He played 143 games for the orange and black before being traded to the Edmonton Oilers in 1998 for defenseman Dan McGillis and a second round pick. More here.
