The Flyers were looking to string together consecutive quality wins last night when the Tampa Bay Lightning came to town. The Lightning had thumped the Flyers on January 27th and were looking to make it two in a row. The two sides could not get on the board in the first period as Ilya Bryzgalov made some stellar saves to keep the Lightning off the board. In the second, enforcer Tom Sestito beat Anders Lindback to put the Flyers up 1-0. It was his first goal with the Flyers. Almost halfway through the third period, Lightning forward Cory Conacher barreled into Bryzgalov but was not issued a penalty. Moments later, Teddy Purcell found Benoit Pouliot all alone in front of the net and he beat Bryzgalov to tie it at 1. Just over a minute and a half later, the Flyers would regain the lead for good when Sestito beat Lindback for his second of the night. The Flyers would go on to win 2-1. More here.
