The Flyers were in Buffalo looking to snap their two-game losing streak. They didn't get off to a great start as the Sabres struck first. It would be 2-1 Buffalo with under seven minutes remaining when Brayden Schenn and Scott Hartnell would both score to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead. Tyler Ennis would tie the game 54 seconds later. The Flyers wouldn't go away as Vinny Lecavalier scored the game-winner with 14.8 seconds remaining in regulation. More here.
Eagles left guard Evan Mathis is headed to Honolulu as the fourth Eagle to be selected to the Pro Bowl. Mathis, 32, was a second alternate and found out today that he was selected. He will join quarterback Nick Foles, running back LeSean McCoy, and left tackle Jason Peters in Hawaii. More here.
It is believed Eagles vice president of player personnel Tom Gamble will be staying in Philadelphia. Breer cites Chip Kelly's program as a reason for not wanting to leave Philadelphia after one season. He was reportedly a candidate for the Dolphins and Buccaneers vacant general manager positions.
