Peyton Manning and the Broncos took on Tom Brady and the Patriots for the AFC Championship yesterday. Manning showed why he is one of the best ever throwing for 400 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions as Denver went on to win 26-16. More here.
The nightcap featured the 49ers looking to repeat as NFC Champions against No. 1 seed and division rival Seattle. It was a back-and-forth game with San Francisco leading heading into the fourth quarter. Russell Wilson found Jermine Kearse for a 35-yard touchdown on 4th and 2 to give Seattle the lead and eventually the win. More here.
The Seahawks-49ers game basically ended on a Seahawks interception in the end zone. Following the game, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who batted Colin Kaepernick's pass to his teammate in the endzone, called out the 49ers play-calling for challenging him with a "sorry" receiver like Michael Crabtree.
