The Sixers were in Boston last night taking on the Celtics at TD Garden. All five Sixers starters were in double figures with Spencer Hawes leading the way with 20 points. Jared Sullinger had the game's only double-double leading the Celtics with 24 points and 17 rebounds. With the Sixers down by one in the closing seconds, Evan Turner drove towards the hole and hit a floater that rattled around the rim and went in as time expired for the victory. More here.
The Flyers announced on Wednesday they have placed center Chris VandeVelde on waivers. If he clears waivers, he is likely to join to the Phantoms in Adirondack. The 26-year-old has played in 17 games for the Flyers this season registering one assist and eight shots on goal. More here.
