The Flyers were in Denver last night facing off against the Colorado Avalanche. The Flyers fell behind 2-0 in the second period when Wayne Simmonds scored his team-high 13th goal of the year to cut it to 2-1. The Flyers lost winger Michael Raffl to a concussion in the first period which made a comeback attempt even more difficult as they fell 2-1 to Colorado. More here.
The Sixers traveled to Sacramento for a late tipoff with the Kings at Sleep Train Arena. The Sixers controlled the game from the outset and outscored the Kings by five points in each of the first three quarters to take a commanding 15-point lead into the fourth quarter and closed out the Kings 113-104. It is the Sixers third consecutive victory, their first three-game winning streak since they opened the season with three straight victories. More here.
The wait is over. The Phillies and Comcast Sportsnet, along with NBCUniversal, have reached an agreement to extend their current partnership. The terms of the deal were not disclosed but The Bucks County Courier Times' cites a source stating the deal is between 20-25 years and the deal is "massive." More here.
