The Phillies took on the Mets yesterday in the rubber match of their three game series. NL All-Star starter Matt Harvey got the call for the Mets and was dazzling. He threw seven shutout innings allowing just three hits while striking out 10. Harvey got home runs from David Wright, Marlon Byrd, and Juan Lagares as the Mets cruised to a 5-0 start. More here.
The final round of the Open Championship was yesterday as Phil Mickelson entered the final round looking to close the five stroke gap and take home his first Claret Jug. Lefty did it in improbable fashion shooting a final 66 and an incredible back-9 32 to win by four strokes. He birdied four of the final six holes. It is his fifth major championship. More here.
A University of Florida linebacker has been arrested for barking at a police dog. He was arrested and claimed that he barked at the dog because the dog barked at him first. More here.
