Former Phillies catcher Darren Daulton underwent surgery yesterday to remove two tumors from his brain that were discovered last week. After a seven hour surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Daulton is recovering after a successful surgery. He is not out of the clear and certainly has a long road to recovery but it was a step in the right direction as the doctors were able to remove both tumors. More here.
The Nationals welcomed Bryce Harper off the 15 day disabled list last night and he came back with a bang. He hit his 13th home run of the year on the second pitch he saw in his return. It would be the only hit he would get against the Brewers but his teammates mustered 12 more hits en route to a 10-5 win over Milwaukee. More here.
The Giants have been dealing with their top two wide receivers, Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, holding out of most off-season organized team activities. Nicks returned but Cruz did not as he wants a long-term deal. Sources are now saying that Cruz and the Giants will have a long-term deal in place before the start of training camp. More here.
