
The Sixers welcomed the Kings to the Wells Fargo Center last night looking to snap their 17-game losing streak. The Sixers trailed by only four at halftime but were outscored 32-22 in the third quarter by Sacramento. The Kings opened the lead up to 21 before winning by 17 points. The Sixers lost a franchise-record 14 consecutive games at home and have now lost 18 consecutive games approaching their franchise record 20 straight losses set in 1973. More here.
Eagles have signed former-Houston Texans outside linebacker Bryan Braman to a two-year contract worth $3.15 million with $1 million guaranteed. Braman is primarily a special teams player. Braman, who turns 27 in May, recorded eight total tackles in 2013 for Houston playing mostly on special teams. More here.
The Eagles announced Wednesday they have signed free agent safety Chris Maragos to a three-year deal reportedly worth $4 million with $1 million guaranteed but incentives that could push the deal to $5.2 million. The 27-year-old Maragos comes to Philadelphia after spending the last three seasons with the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. More here.
