The Flyers were in for a tough one last night at home against the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead less than four minutes into the game thanks to two goals against the rusty Ray Emery. Scott Hartnell responded later in the first period with two goals of his own to tie the game. After scoreless second and third periods, overtime was slipping away when Claude Giroux took the puck on the rush and scored on a nasty wrist-shot with 4.2 seconds left to win 3-2. More here.
Eagles are listening to offers for Pro Bowl wide receiver DeSean Jackson and two teams - the 49ers and Patriots - have both called about acquiring Jackson. The team is hoping to get at least a third round pick for the 27-year-old's services. More here.
Astros have inquired about Phillies outfielder/third baseman John Mayberry Jr. although it is an unlikely fit. Mayberry signed a one-year deal worth $1.587 million in January. Last year, Mayberry hit .227/.286/.391 with 11 home runs and 39 RBIs in 353 at-bats. More here.
