The Flyers were in action last night against the Los Angeles Kings. Los Angeles struck first in the second period when Jeff Carter ripped home his 25th goal of the year. Former Flyer Justin Williams would get a dirty goal to make it 2-0. The Flyers responded in the third period with redirected goals from Matt Read and Jakub Voracek, their 20th goals of the season. The Sixers were in San Antonio looking to snap their 24-game losing streak as they took on the Spurs who had won 13 consecutive games entering last night. The Sixers were out of luck as the Spurs shot 55.7% from the field and 13-for-27 (48.1%) from beyond the arc en route to a 113-91 victory. The Sixers are now 3-40 when failing to shoot 45.0% from the field as they shot just 40.9% from the field and 11-for-33 (33.3%) from beyond the arc. More here.
Eagles are expected to sign former Jets QB Mark Sanchez. The deal is not done as Sanchez would have to pass a physical as he missed all of last season with a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder. NFL.com is reporting the Giants are also interested in signing Sanchez. More here.
