The Sixers were looking to avoid tying an NBA record for most consecutive losses last night as they took on the Houston Rockets. The Rockets shot 48.9% from the field while holding the Sixers to just 38.9% shooting. It's marked the second time in James Anderson's career that he dropped 30 points in a game. His only other 30-point effort was back in November against his former team, the Rockets. Unfortunately, the Sixers still fell 120-98. More here.
The Eagles and former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez have agreed on a deal.. Sanchez was in Philadelphia on Thursday for a physical with the Eagles after being released from the Jets last weekend. Sanchez missed the entire 2013 season with a torn labrum in his right shoulder. More here.
The Phillies have unconditionally released outfielder Bobby Abreu, who is expected to sign with another team. This all comes one day after Abreu was told he would not be on the Opening Day roster and two days after the team agreed to push back his opt out date from today to Sunday. More here.
