The Flyers took on the Bruins yesterday at the Wells Fargo Center. Vinny Lecavalier ripped his 400th career goal to get the Flyers on the board. Former-Flyer Andrej Meszaros tied it for the Bruins moments later. Kimmo Timonen put the Flyers up 2-1 at the end of the first. Boston got two goals in the second period to take a 3-2 lead into the third. Late in the third with the extra-attacker, Jake Voracek found Vinny Lecavalier who tied the game with 24 seconds left. The Phillies open their season today but they finalized their roster over the weekend. They added the contracts of Tony Gwynn Jr., Jeff Manship and Mario Hollands. Reid Brignac and Shawn Camp, both guys fighting for spots, were optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. More here.
Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins has a 3:00 pm news conference set for today to declare for the 2014 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old Wiggins was the Big-12 Freshman of the Year and a First-Team All-Big 12 Selection. More here.
