The Flyers took on the Washington Capitals last night at the Wells Fargo Center. It was a wild one as the Flyers jumped out to a 4-0 lead thanks to two goals from Claude Giroux and one apiece from Jakub Voracek and Michael Raffl. Washington would score three unaswered of their own before Voracek would net the eventual game-winner. The Flyers would go on to win 6-4 in regulation. More here.
The Flyers traded defenseman Andrej Meszaros to the Boston Bruins for a third round draft pick. The Bruins had previously been linked to Meszaros, who need to fill the void left by Dennis Seidenberg who is out for the year with a torn ACL and MCL. Meszaros, 28, has five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 38 games this season for the Flyers despite spending a large part of the "2013" portion of the 2013-14 as a healthy scratch. More here.
