The Phillies were looking to shake off their tough extra-inning loss to the Mets on Sunday with Cliff Lee on the mound. Lee was cruising along until the Angels put up four unearned runs in the sixth inning to take a 4-2 lead. The Phillies would get a run back in the seventh but it wasn't enough and Mike Trout and the Angels held on to a 4-3 victory. More here.
The Eagles announced yesterday they have agreed to terms with third round pick wide receiver Josh Huff from Oregon on a four-year contract. Huff, 22, caught 62 passes for an Oregon single-season record 1,140 yards and 12 touchdowns. He struggled with injuries in 2011 and 2012 only posting 430 and 493 receiving yards in those seasons for nine combined receiving touchdowns. More here.
The Eagles have agreed to contract terms with former-Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez pending a physical. While the Eagles plan to bring Martinez in to make the team, it won't be at quarterback. Martinez will workout as a wide receiver and/or a defensive back. More here.
