Good morning! It will be a gorgeous Friday in Philadelphia will sunny skies and an afternoon high of 64 degrees. The Phillies take on the Marlins tonight in the second game of their four-game series tonight at 7:05 pm at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies new ace Kyle Kendrick took the mound last night against the Marlins. Kendrick pitched extremely well allowing two runs on seven hits over seven innings while striking five. The Phillies got a 4-2 lead when Mike Adams came into the game and pitched a clean eighth inning. The Phillies tacked on three more runs in the eighth playing "small ball" to give Jonathan Papelbon a five run lead as he came in and closed the door for a 7-2 Phillies victory. More here.

The Denver Nuggets were looking to force a Game 7 last night when they took on the Warriors. The Nuggets had a lead in the first half before the Warriors took control and eventually took over the game to take an 18 point lead midway through the fourth quarter. The Nuggets came storming back and Andre Iguodala's 3-pointer with 1:02 remaining cut the Warriors lead to 90-87. Denver would get it to 90-88 but could not get any closer as Golden State went on to win the game 92-88 and their first playoff series since 2007. More here.

The Washington Capitals and New York Rangers kicked off their first round series last night. Entering the second period trailing 1-0, the Capitals exploded for three goals. Alex Ovechkin got them on the board to tie the game at 1 then Marcus Johansson gave them the lead on a breakaway goal. Jason Chimera threw a puck on net that somehow beat Henrik Lundqvist to put Washington up 3-1 and that would be the final. Braden Holtby had 35 saves on 36 shots to put the Capitals up 1-0 in the series. More here.
