The Eagles were looking to take sole possession of first place in he NFC East with Dallas on their bye week. Nick Foles had a strong game for the Eagles that included 298 yards through the air and 47 yards on nine rushes including a gritty rushing touchdown. DeMeco Ryans led all Eagles with seven total tackles including five solo tackles. LeSean McCoy went down with a hamstring injury late in the second quarter but came back in the second half to rush 20 times for 77 yards and two touchdowns on the day while catching four passes for 73 yards. The BCS standings didn't change too much but Stanford's loss to USC on Saturday night did change the top five teams a bit. Alabama, Florida State, and Ohio State are still 1-2-3 but the Baylor Bears have taken over the No. 4 spot with Oregon moving up to fifth. Full standings here.
Redskins tackle Trent Williams claims that umpire Roy Ellison cursed at him during the first half of the Eagles victory over Washington. Williams claims that the exchange was unprovoked but some interior offensive linemen were wearing microphones so the encounter could be caught on there for the league to review. More here.

Eli Manning's 279 passing yards and Victor Cruz's 110 receiving yards helped lead the Giants by the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers. New York's 27-13 victory was their fourth straight win to move the Giants to 4-6 and into third place of the NFC East. More here.
