The Sixers were looking to snap their three-game losing streak last night against the Toronto Raptors. The Sixers and Raptors both scored 25 points in the first quarter but Toronto went on to outscore the 76ers 68-52 over the next two quarters to put the game out of reach. Michael Carter-Williams scored 10 points while dishing out six assists and grabbing six rebounds but the 76ers would go on to lose 108-98. More here.
The Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers have agreed on a massive blockbuster last night as Detroit would send Prince Fielder and his massive contract to Texas in return for All-Star second baseman Ian Kinsler. Physicals are still needed and another player could also be involved. Fielder signed a $214 million contract prior to the 2012 season. More here.
Alex Rodriguez stormed out of his greivance hearing with Major League Baseball calling it a "farce" and reportedly cursing at MLB officials. Rodriguez later went on WFAN in New York and said that commissioner Bud Selig "hates his guts." More here.
