If you were expecting the game between the 3-7 Eagles and 2-8 Panthers to be crisp and clean, you were in for a letdown. The game featured three turnovers and a missed extra point. The Eagles were responsible for all three turnovers, including two from rookie running back Bryce Brown. Behind four touchdowns from Cam Newton, two passing and two rushing, the Panthers left Philadelphia with a 30-22 victory. The loss is the Eagles seventh straight which ties the fourth longest streak in franchise history. Nick Foles played well going 16-for-21 for 119 yards with no turnovers. The loss moves the Eagles to 3-8 which is tied for the third worst record in the NFL behind the 1-10 Chiefs and 2-9 Jaguars. More here.
The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets faced off against each other at the Barclay’s Center last night. The two did not disappoint as the game went to overtime where the Nets took control. Brooklyn went on to win 96-89. Point guard Deron William led the Nets with 16 points and 14 assists. Surprisingly, Tyson Chandler paced the Knicks with 28 points and 10 rebounds. The loss drops the Knicks to 9-4 and 4-4 away from Madison Square Garden. More here.
