The Flyers were in Carolina last night looking to improve on Saturday's 1-0 victory over the Devils. After two scoreless periods, Scott Hartnell got the Flyers on the board with 3:58 remaining in the third period by redirecting a Kimmo Timonen point shot on the power play. Carolina tied the game with 52.3 second remaining in the third when Eric Staal found Jordan Staal in front who's shot beat Mason. Manny Malholtra beat Steve Mason on a breakaway in overtime to give the Hurricanes a 2-1 victory. More here.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will likely miss three weeks after fracturing his non-throwing collarbone in Monday night's 27-20 loss to the Chicago Bears. He confirmed yesterday that he did have a fracture but could not put a timetable on a return. Rodgers will all but certainly not play Sunday against the Eagles. More here.
The Seattle Mariners have found their next skipper as former Pirates manager Lloyd McClendon has accepted the position taking over for Eric Wedge. McClendon has been a coach with the Detroit Tigers since 2006. More here.
