FLYERS LOSE AGAIN, THIS TIME IN OVERTIME, AGAINST FLAMES
Calgary got on the board right after a Flyers power play in the first, with Josh Jooris scoring on the team's third chance in a frenzied sequence around Neuvirth. Michael Raffl scored his first of the year with 35 seconds left in the second, with an assist from Claude Giroux. In overtime, Hollydell's own Johnny Gaudreau put the puck on net, while Mikael Backlund scored a trash goal 35 seconds into the extra session. Neuvirth stopped 28 of 30 shots, while Flames goalie Karri Ramo stopped 26 of 27 shots, and wasn't really challenged by the offense, which is 2nd-to-last in the league in goals scored at 24, just eight ahead of last place Anaheim.
The Flyers end the long road trip Saturday night as they take on the Winnipeg Jets. Hopefully they win. (RECAP)
