The Eagles got another honor yesterday heading into their game against the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Nick Foles was be named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Foles was extremely accurate completing 70% of his passes for nearly 300 yards for three touchdowns through the air, including passes of 36 and 47 yards for touchdowns. More here.
The St. Louis Cardinals were looking to eliminate the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday and advance to the World Series for the second time in three years. Unfortunately Adrian Gonzalez showed up for Los Angeles and he did some work on the Cardinals pitchers. Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with two home runs to power the Dodgers to a 6-4 victory to force a Game 6. More here.
The Detroit Tigers were looking to even the ALCS up at 2 with a win over the Red Sox last night. Detroit stormed out to a five run lead through two innings and added two more in the fourth before the Red Sox even got on the scoreboard. Doug Fister allowed one run in six innings of work for the Tigers as they evened the series 2-2 with a 7-3 win. More here.
