The Eagles took on the Cowboys yesterday at the Linc for first place in the NFC East. In what many predicted to be an offensive showdown, it was the defense on both teams that stood out. Cowboys LB Sean Lee led all players with 11 total tackles and nine solo tackles - one of which went for a loss. He also played a big role in the pass defense with one pass defended and an interception. Eagles QB Nick Foles left the game after the third quarter with a head injury. It was a 3-0 game at halftime and a 10-0 game through three quarters. Dallas went on to win 17-3. More here.
The BCS Standings were released last night at there is no major surprise at the top with Alabama taking the top spot followed by the Florida State Seminoles. Oregon, Ohio State, and Missouri round out the top five. Full BCS Standings here.
Peyton Manning made his return to Indianapolis last night as the Broncos took on the Colts on Sunday Night Football. The Colts jumped out to a lead thanks in part to a big game by Andrew Luck who was 21-for-38 for 228 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions plus a touchdown on the ground. Peyton Manning led the Broncos comeback throwing for 386 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception but it came up short as Indianapolis won 39-33. More here.

The Redskins took on the Bears at home yesterday and it was a tight game until the very end. The two swapped scores all day until Josh McCown gave Chicago a 41-38 lead with 3:57 remaining. Robert Griffin III led Washington back down the field for the Roy Helu Jr. go-ahead touchdown run with 45 seconds left. The win improves the Redskins to 2-4. More here.
