The Eagles were looking to end their three-game skid yesterday against the New York Giants. Nick Foles started the game on the bench but came on just before halftime after starting quarterback Michael Vick injured his hamstring. Foles went 16-for-25 (64.0%) for 197 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 114.9. The Eagles fell behind 21-19 late in the third quarter before Foles led the Eagles to 17 unanswered points including two beautifully thrown balls that went for touchdowns - one to Brent Celek and another to DeSean Jackson - as the Eagles won 36-21. The Flyers were in Raleigh taking on the Carolina Hurricanes last night. The Flyers allowed the Hurricanes to score first and, once again, trailed after the first period. Carolina and Philadelphia would swap goals in the second period but the Flyers couldn't sustain an offensive attack and lost 2-1 to fall to 0-3-0 for the second consecutive season. More here.
The Kansas City Chiefs were looking to improve to 5-0 after winning just two games all of last season. Kicker Ryan Succop kicked four field goals for Kansas City and Jamaal Charles rushed for another touchdown as Kansas City beat the Tennessee Titans 26-17. Andy Reid improves to 5-0 with his new team after winning only four games last season in Philadelphia. More here.

The Cowboys had a tall task taking on the Denver Broncos in Arlington. Dallas jumped out to a 14-7 first quarter lead. The Broncos came back to take a 28-20 lead but Dallas didn't let up as they were up 48-41 before Peyton Manning drove down the field and got Knowshon Moreno a one-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 48 with 2:39 remaining. A Tony Romo interception set up Denver's game-winning field goal as time expired to give Denver a 51-48 victory. More here.
