The Phillies took on the Pirates last night at Citizens Bank Park looking for their second consecutive win. Andrew McCutchen had a big game for the Pirates going 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run that tied the game in the fifth inning. Russell Martin followed up McCutchen's inside-the-park home run with a home run of his own in the fifth inning to give the Pirates the lead for good as the went on to win 6-3. More here.
The NFL has hired former FBI director Robert S. Mueller III to conduct an independent investigation over how the league handled the Ray Rice incident. The investigation will be overseen by New York Giants owner John Mara and Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney.
