The Eagles welcomed former head coach Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs to town last night. The Eagles offensive line struggled mightily especially against linebacker Justin Houston. He entered the game with 10 total tackles and three sacks. Thursday night he registered seven total tackles (six solo), four tackles for loss, four passes defensed, and put up an incredible 3.5 sacks. He was everywhere for the Chiefs defense and forced the fumble at the end of the game against Michael Vick that sealed the 26-16 win for Kansas City. More here.
The Phillies could be inching closer to bringing back familiar face. Former Phillies shortstop and manager Larry Bowa could possibly rejoin the organization as a coach under interim manager Ryne Sandberg, if Sandberg loses the "interim" label as is expected. More here.
Behind two Hanley Ramirez home runs, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-6 yesterday to clinch their first NL West division title since 2009. The Dodgers were eliminated in the NLCS by the Phillies in each of their last two playoff appearances. Los Angeles celebrated the win by jumping into the pool in right-centerfield at Arizona's Chase Field. More here.
